Founded in the 1980s, our school was the first educational institution in Israel to provide integrated bilingual, education for Arab and Jewish children, kindergarten - 6th grade. Today it includes 200 children, 90% who travel from twenty communities. The school plans to expand into high school. There is an equal number of Arab and Jewish children and staff, teaching the religious and national days of all, emphasizing peace, tolerance and mutual respect. The School has been a model for others in Israel and abroad. The School's key principles are equal participation by Jews and Palestinians in all aspects, providing a framework for daily contact between the two peoples, using Hebrew and Arabic in instruction for all children, nurturing identity, imparting knowledge of culture, tradition and respect for the other.

The school is recognized by the MOE and follows its basic curricula. Supplemental programs include: holidays and national days of all peoples, peace, and democracy. We realize our educational vision by developing an ongoing educational culture of learning based on: Personal value (through individual and national identity), humanistic and empathetic approach to the history and narrative of the other, broad and open education, bilingualism, critical thinking and learning from each other, pluralistic societal view, tolerance and multiculturalism, flexible approach in dealing with dilemmas and disputes, ability to analyze from a broad perspective with fairness and openness.
