250 Arab students, 7 Arab principals, 18 Arab teachers / 250 Jewish students, 7 Jewish prinicipals, 18 Jewish teachers. 

Region/Location: Ramleh, Central District. 

Duration: 1 school year.

Frequency: 2 sessions per month, occasional online joint lessons.

Session Length: 1 academic class.

Professional staff training: Principals - 3 day seminar & two workshops (30 hrs.) / Teachers - 3-4 workshops & online learning (30 hrs.)

Evaluation: Yes, results upon request.

Program Description

The program aims to institutionalize and disseminate the model of joint learning between Arab and Jewish schools as a platform for nurturing sustainable and positive relationships between principals, teachers, and students, and improving academic excellence in Social Skills, Hebrew / Arabic, English, and Math.

Methodology: Training principals to nurture mutual trust and willingness to build sustainable partnerships across sectors; training teachers to develop good relationships and jointly nurture their professional skills toward excellence in their areas of expertise; supporting teachers in planning learning initiatives (resources, methodology, and problems solving); observing joint lessons in order to provide teachers with feedback and create a community of practice; documentating and creating case studies for the professional development of additional teachers. 

Potential Development - Pending Funding

Developing teaching resources and teacher training courses toward implementation of inter-cultural sensitive methodologies of joint English studies. Nurturing familial support for shared learning initiatives as a vehicle of academic achievement in core topics and the development of inter-cultural and team-oriented skills in their children.
