Beit Berl College, a central player in Israel's education system and its surrounding communities, established The Center for the Advancement of Shared Society in 2015. The Center aims to change the way our teachers see our society and teach our children. Based on a holistic educational approach, the Center:  a.)  develops cross-cultural competence among Israel’s current and future educators enabling them to teach shared citizenship and bring tolerance to classrooms; b.)  creates a model of shared society on campus so students and faculty from all ethnic groups feel a sense of belonging; and c.) pioneers a shared space at the College where Arab and Jewish faculty, students and members of neighboring communities come together in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
